DuClaw Naked Fish
I had picked this one up in Virginia since we don't get DuClaw in Philly. Naked Fish is a chocolate, raspberry stout.
Really strong and inviting nose. Lots of chocolate and raspberry, basically like those chocolates with raspberry filling in them, you know? Unfortunately the taste didn't follow anywhere near as strongly though it was still pretty pleasant. Mostly a little chocolate and then a light raspberry flavor in the finish. The body was a little thin but as a regular stout it wasn't terribly surprising. All in all, pretty tasty though the flavor could have been slightly stronger.

ReplyDeleteI wasn't a huge fan of the Naked Fish. I expected a more pronounced chocolate and raspberry flavor. I'll keep an eye out for the imperial version. I should be making a trip to Total Wine in DE and Stateline Liquors in MD soon. They usually have a good selection of DuClaw.
ReplyDeleteYeah I agree about the flavors being stronger but still enjoyed it. If you do find the Double Naked Fish, you'll have to get me a bottle and finally come by for you bottle of Rapture. =)

ReplyDeleteLol. I didn't forget about the Rapture. Damn I was suppose to grab that forever ago. Im afraid if you keep it any longer you'll charge me a cellaring fee. :-)
